New Braunfels

A diverse, medium-sized city in Texas, New Braunfels is home to recently developed upscale properties and a large number of professionals who work remotely. A fast-growing neighborhood, it’s expected to grow in population, tourism, and economy in the coming years. It’s also less than an hour away from major metros like Austin and San Antonio so access to their commercial, retail, dining, and nightlife scenes is quite easy. It is also a preferred suburb of military families with personnel assigned to the bases in the said cities.

The only city in Texas founded by German royalty, New Braunfels celebrated its 175th year of gemütlichkeit (the good life) in 2023. That said, one could expect its residents to have European ancestry. German and pish are the most spoken languages here after English.
